Federal Brace released the Apex Industrial Leg Set, modeled after their Alpha Industrial Table Leg, this past month. Like the Alpha, and other table legs in Federal Brace’s Industrial Table Leg Collection, the Apex will be sold in a set of two legs to support a table, desk, or other work surfaces. In order to maintain the idea industrial look, the Apex is made of a hot rolled steel, giving it a blackened appearance, and then clear coated to protect it from rusting for a matte finish. The Apex is made of lighter gauge steel for a more economical alternative to the industrial look, which often comes with a premium price tag.
Each leg measures 24 inches in length and 28 in height, making them the perfect height for a desk, dining table, or console. The material is a sturdy 7 gauge steel, tested to have a carrying capacity of up to 1000 pounds per set of legs. A weld nut is included on the bottom of the leg to make a level and even foot, prevent any rocking and provide flawless steadiness. Fasteners and gussets, or stiffener bars, are included to ensure complete stability and a firm foundation for the chosen table top.
The customizable nature of the Apex makes it a logical choice for one-of-a-kind furniture. Regardless of the designer’s selected materials, whether it be a rough-hewn piece of wood, a polished concrete slab, or an upcycled door, the Apex will not only complement but showcase, the table or desk to full advantage. The A-shape silhouette of the Apex calls to mind formidable structures - a lofty mountain, the sturdy cables of the Golden Gate Bridge, or, most fittingly, the famed Eiffel Tower. Not only is the Apex the peak of industrial design in supports, but also a chic and fashionable home, loft apartment, or office accessory.
