MONROE TOWNSHIP , NJ (November 16, 2015) – Villeroy & Boch’s new freestanding Octagon washbasin was chosen by the BDNY fair judges as the Finalist in the Best of BDNY : Best Product Design competition for the Bath category. BDNY is a design-driven trade fair and was held at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City on November 8 th and 9 th , 2015. In Villeroy & Boch’s booth, the new Octagon washbasin was on display, making its first appearance in the US market. 

The Octagon washbasin is a masterpiece of precision and a true work of art. The secret to crafting such a novel and intricate ceramic design is Villeroy & Boch’s innovative material, TitanCeram. Made from a pioneering blend of clay, quartz, feldspar and titanium oxide, this inventive material allows for exceptionally precise design, enabling the creation of extremely thin walls and clearly defined edges. More than crafted for just innovative aesthetics, this material also is shock and scratch-proof, resistant to extreme temperatures, and is particularly easy to clean.
