Driven by the minimalist styling of contemporary European kitchen cabinet manufacturers like Poliform, SieMatic and Poggenpohl, Abbaka introduced the Monolith Hood design. Minimum formal characteristics define this hood. Absent is the combination of the canopy and stack common to all "chimney" hood designs. Just as ultra-contemporary kitchen cabinetry eliminates the visible door handle or drawer pull, Monolith has no visible lighting or motor controls on its face to interrupt the form.
Offered in widths ranging from 36" to 60" as standard, in both wall mount (as shown) and island designs, the Monolith the hood can be exhausted by Abbaka's built-in interior blowers, the ultra quiet Hy-Ex Remote or Attic (in-line) ventilator in 600, 800, 1000, 1200 or 1400 CFM ratings. As all Abbaka hoods, Monolith can built of stainless, copper or brass, in brushed, mirror polished or distressed/antique finishes.
