Wellborn Forest Products manufactures semi-custom wood kitchen and bath cabinetry available through independent cabinet dealers and home builders in the Eastern United States. From humble beginnings as a manufacturer of cabinets for government housing, Wellborn Forest Products has evolved to become a leading manufacturer of semi-custom cabinetry in a 200,000 square-foot facility in Alexander City, Alabama. With the professional designer and installer in mind, Wellborn Forest Products cabinetry is designed for remodelers as well as new home builders.

Wellborn Forest Products originated in Ashland, Alabama, as Wellborn Cabinet, Inc. founded in 1961 by Morgan Wellborn with sons Douglas and Paul. Morgan Wellborn moved the family’s home-building business from Pensacola, Florida to Cragford, Alabama where he and Douglas began making cabinets in a small 20’ x 50’ building. In 1961 Paul joined the operation and Wellborn Cabinet Company was formed in Ashland, Alabama. Wellborn Forest Products began producing framed cabinets in Alexander City, Alabama after splitting from Wellborn Cabinet, Inc in 1986.

Wellborn Forest Products manufactures all-wood cabinets using three native species including red oak, maple, and cherry. The company makes three different face-frame box construction configurations. As of February 2016, the company offers 96 door styles and 665 stain and paint options as part of their standard product offering. The company also offers a custom paint match program called YourColor™ in partnership with Sherwin-Williams®.
